The WSET level 2 qualification in wine is intended for beginners wishing to learn about a wide range of wines. But also for those seeking to build on the introductory knowledge gained with the WSET Level 1 in wines. In eight lessons of three hours you’ll gain knowledge of the principal and regionally important grape varieties of the world. We will explore the most important wine regions in which they are grown, and the styles of wine they produce.
Through a combination of tasting and theory, you will learn the factors that impact style and quality in wine. Our educators will also teach how to describe these wines with confidence. In every session there will be at least six wines to taste. The wines will range in quality from acceptable to outstanding. All wines that we use in our classes are benchmark examples for the grape variety and/or region they represent. The exam consists of 50 multiple choice questions. In the WSET level 2 in wine qualification there is no blind tasting in the exam.
