Are you interested in wine and want to expand your knowledge? The WSET Level 1 course is the perfect introduction to explore and deepen your passion for wine.
What can I expect?
- 330,- Including: study material, wines to taste and exam.
- 2 Lessons of 3 hours + exam OR a Fast Track version in 1 day
- 2 hours per week home study is recommended

WSET Level 1 Wine course in Amsterdam (English)

The WSET Level 1 course offers you an initial introduction to the world of wine. We cover the main grape varieties, different wine styles, and the regions where these grapes are grown. In the second lesson, we give extensive attention to creating successful wine and food pairings. You will learn to describe wines accurately, which helps in creating the perfect wine and food combinations.
WSET Level 1 is a practical wine course, where you will learn the basic tasting technique under the guidance of our certified instructors. We start from the basics, allowing you to comfortably master this method.
After the WSET Level 1 course you will be familiar with:
- The main grape varieties and the influence of the region on their flavor.
- Different wine styles and how they are produced.
- Basic principles of wine tasting and systematic wine evaluation.
- Creating successful wine and food pairings.
Studymaterial and exam
To pass the WSET Level 1 exam. The study book is not thick but is well-filled with concise and relevant information.
The WSET Level 1 exam in wine consists of 30 multiple-choice questions. You need to answer at least 21 of them correctly to pass. If you do not pass, we offer you the opportunity for two retakes per year.
